Temperament: Meet August! August is the definition of delightful—adorable, sweet, playful, and full of curiosity. She loves to explore her surroundings, chase after toys she can bat around, and soak up all the love you’re willing to give. You can pick her up, cuddle her, and pet her for as long as you like—she’s all about that affection. She gets along wonderfully with other cats but would also thrive as a solo kitty. Like her siblings, August has a serious love for Temptations treats and will never turn down a snack break. August has really come into her own and blossomed into an amazing companion. Whoever adopts her is truly lucky—she’s just one of those cats who makes life better.

All cats are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, and FeLV/FIV tested at the time of adoption.

All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present at the time of your appointment (unless your dog has had prior exposure to cats). A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption.

All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family.

Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. We also cannot guarantee the ages of our adoptable animals.
