Temperament: My name is Bear and I'm an absolutely lovely doggy! I was rescued from a hoarding situation and in the time I have been with my foster, I have gone from being terrified to learning to trust and understand family life. It has been a slow process of earning my trust but, with love and patience, I have blossomed. Currently, I'm not fond of being picked up or getting pulled on the leash but will walk on the leash once I get going. I'm potty trained and don't mind going outside in the rain or snow. I'm currently living with 4 other dogs and I'm just beginning to understand play time and chewing on bones. My tail wags constantly. I don't have to be crated when my people leave the house. I love my little bed, food, and treats. I may start slow, but once I get to know and trust you, I'm going to be a great loving companion.

All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption.

An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption.

Appointments are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family.

Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. We also cannot guarantee the ages of our adoptable animals or how large puppies will be when fully grown.
