A note from Karma’s foster family: Karma is just a sweet, loving, snuggly, huggable, and adorable girl. She gave birth to a litter of 7 puppies back in October of 2020 and this was not her first litter. Karma was an absolutely fabulous mom to her babies from beginning to end. She was very nurturing to them and protective (just the right amount) and treated them great. She quickly and quite easily transitioned into a house pet once they left. She has been great with my 9 yr old son and all of his friends (age range from 6 yrs to 13 yrs old) and loves to snuggle with any of the kids. She has actually been great with every person she has ever seen. She loved all the attention from my 70+ yr old parents that live with us. She does announce to all when anyone might be walking past the house or a delivery is made, or even when the doorbell rings. She gets along great with my 11 yr old golden retriever, and she is even good/tolerant of my 10 mo old chihuahua. She is a great protector of our yard from all critter intruders like bunnies and squirrels. Karma loves to carry around squeaky toys and stuffed toys, but eventually the toys seem to meet their demise at Karma’s hands when she decides it’s time. She is fully potty trained having never had any accidents in the house. She is super strong and definitely has energy she needs to burn. But she is also wonderful at knowing when it’s time to just settle down and chill for the evening. Hopefully her family won’t mind her snuggling on the couch, on your lap, or even in their bed when she sneaks in 🙂

Long story short, she has been a wonderful dog at our house and has been great with most everyone she meets. After her previous life of being a mom multiple times, it’s her time now and deserves a wonderful family of her own to love her and she will spend her years paying you back with love!

All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested and started on Tri Heart Plus; Vectra 3D.

All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present at the time of the adoption.

Our website is always kept 100% up to date with who is currently available. As soon as animals are adopted, they are moved to the Adopted Pets page so if they are still listed on the Adoptable Dogs or Cats page, they are still available. So keep any eye on the site for any animals being added as available for adoption as new animals are added everyday! We would recommend if you haven’t done so already that you submit a general online adoption application with us so it is on file for when you are ready to come out and adopt. The adoption counselors will be able to show you many that would be a good fit for your family. Animal House Shelter can not guarantee breed or breed mix of our adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as a breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. We also can not guarantee the ages of our adoptable animals or how large puppies will be when fully grown.

Please fill out an online adoption application. Visit our ‘Adopt’ page to view adoption process steps, policies, requirements and FAQ. View our ‘Visit’ page for hours and directions to our shelter. We look forward to seeing you soon!
